Whether it be blood, guts, bullets or martial arts, Loren fills his frames with heart-racing action while weaving powerful narratives that make his characters come to life.
Born and raised in New York City, the first film Loren ever saw was DIE HARD - which cemented his love for action movies. Driven to making action films his career, Loren went on to study at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he made his first go at the action genre with his thesis film OPERATIVE which was nominated for Best Dramatic Short at the Central Florida Film Festival.
After working as a production assistant on SHERLOCK HOLMES, COP OUT, and WINTER'S TALE, Loren was accepted into the American Film Institute’s Conservatory for Directing. He made it his mission to stand out as an action-film director while developing his storytelling skills and honing his craft with a camera into an art form. His AFI thesis film RESURGENT premiered at the Action On Film Festival and had a featured slate at Iron Dragon T.V.’s Action Fest in Austin,Texas.
Additionally, Loren served as the Action Director on the high concept short THE BIG BREAK, which was acquired by Vice Shorts and can be seen on Short of the Week.
Recently, Loren wrote and developed a martial arts comedy feature film for Billy Blanks (of Tae Bo fame) known as Shooting Blanks, and made his first foray into Commercial Directing with several high octane spec spots for Jeep.
